Short & clear

A language is more than vocabulary.

The FÜD translates into over 70 languages – each by native speakers with a specialist background. 78 languages already have their own specialist page with process, documents and price range; all price groups and starting prices from € 0.89 per standard line are on the prices page. Further languages and rare combinations are equally available and can be found via the live search below.

The target market decides the right variant: European or Brazilian Portuguese, Modern Standard or regional Arabic, simplified or traditional Chinese. We secure terminology through translation memories so that terms stay consistent across all documents. Where an authority or court requires it, court-sworn and certified translators produce a certified translation with a certification note.

Certified per language

Certified translation – for practically every language.

Official documents don't need just any translator, but a certified translation with a certification note.

For official documents, court-sworn and certified translators (in German gerichtlich beeidete und zertifizierte Übersetzer) produce the certified translation under § 14 SDG; the certification note makes it recognisable by authorities and courts across Austria. This applies to the vast majority of the over 70 languages – from Albanian to Vietnamese.

If your target country requires an apostille, it is issued solely by the competent authority or the Regional Court – not by the FÜD. We advise whether one is needed and deliver the translation in a recognisable form. Details: what does a certified translation cost? and certified translation.

Why the FÜD is the right choice.

For every language and field we assign a native-speaker specialist, keep terminology consistent through translation memories and deliver – where needed – certified at a fixed price including delivery. You get a translation that reads right and is accepted by the receiving body: from a single source, with one contact and a clear commitment. See references →

FAQ

Languages – frequently asked questions.

Which languages does the FÜD translate into?

Into over 70 languages and numerous combinations – from the major world and EU languages to rarer ones such as Dari, Pashto or Tamil. 78 languages have their own specialist page with process, typical documents, pitfalls and price range; further languages and combinations you can request directly.

Do you offer certified translations in all languages?

Yes, provided a court-sworn and certified translator is available for the language – which is the case for the vast majority. The certified translation is produced with a certification note and recognised by Austrian authorities and courts across Austria.

Do you translate in both directions?

Yes. We translate from German into the foreign language and vice versa, as well as in many foreign-language combinations. We assign the native-speaker specialist suited to the target language and field to your project.

Do you take language variants and regions into account?

Yes. Whether European or Brazilian Portuguese, Modern Standard or regional Arabic, simplified or traditional Chinese – we choose the variant that fits your target market and keep terminology consistent through translation memories.

What does “in preparation” mean for a language?

For these languages we are currently building dedicated specialist pages. We already translate and certify reliably into these languages today – simply send your document via the enquiry and we assign the right specialist.
